You may have a lot of questions about it - even concerns. You've come to the right place. At World of Desire you can learn more about female sexual desire, what many often refer to as female libido, – what drives it, and what’s really going on inside your body. There is also information on talking about female sexual desire with your partner or healthcare professional and how to address any concerns you might have.
We seem to spend a lot of time thinking about sex or even worrying about it.
Everyone can have moments when they feel that their sexual desire is not what it used to be! For many women, however, this missing feeling can be really distressing and has a huge impact on their life, be it on their relationship or on their self esteem. They often feel a loss of intimacy and closeness that they used to enjoy and a prolonged lack or loss of sexual desire can prevent them even from enjoying their relationship.
A growing body of knowledge indicates that problems in human sexuality are more pervasive and more important to the well being and health of individuals in many cultures than has been previously recognised.

Some women attribute a decrease in their sexual desire to ageing, or conclude that it is a natural cycle or ‘passing phase’ of any relationship. This is not necessarily correct: a decrease of sexual desire can be a genuine problem for women of any age, and its more common than you might think. In a large study, up to one in ten women reported low sexual desire that was causing them distress.
